About Us

AS Sport Horses is the result of a shared passion and a dream that took shape over time.

Our history

Teddy rode since he was a child in Cuba, where his first horse even accompanied him to work in the sugarcane fields. His life has been marked by horses, from his years competing in show jumping, where he was Paraguayan Junior Champion and Best Rider of the Year in 1986, to his stints in France and Africa, always keeping his passion alive, even when he couldn’t dedicate himself entirely to it.

When Tow Paths Met, a Legacy Was Born

The real turning point came in Portugal, when he finally acquired his first Iberian horse. It was there that he met Alexandra, who had always had a great admiration for horses, although she hadn’t had the opportunity to ride until then. Together they not only shared that passion, but also discovered a vocation: breeding horses with soul.

From Pandora to Purpose: Breeding Nobility and Performance

After a period in Dubai, where Alexandra began training in dressage, they found Pandora Dressage TOP, their first Lusitana mare, at auction. With her, the stud farm was born, and with it, AS Sport Horses.

Today, we primarily breed Lusitano horses for their nobility, beauty, and versatility. We also breed a small line of KWPN horses, which we’re starting with our Elite KWPN mare, P. Magnificat Lemac. We also have Red Spirit and Romano, two KWPN horses with promising athletic prospects currently trained by international rider Robbin Kleermans.

Our goal

Our goal is clear: responsible, sustainable, and sport-oriented breeding, with a special focus on classical dressage. We focus on quality, not quantity, always seeking the well-being of our horses and their development as balanced and happy athletes.

AS Sport Horses is not just a stud farm, it is a story of life, connection, and deep love for the horse.

We want to consolidate a breeding model that takes care of every detail: from the facilities to the feeding and training. All this is achieved by working alongside leading industry professionals (veterinarians, riders, showmen, etc.) who share our vision. We want each horse to grow up surrounded by purpose, respect, and attention.

We also strongly believe in the power of nature as a teacher. Therefore, there is no better environment for our daughter to develop than one filled with animals and great wisdom. Because for us, horses are not just athletes: they are part of the family.
