AS Sport Horses at the 2026 International Festival of the Lusitano Horse
Formerly held in Cascais, this important event brings together breeders, riders and enthusiasts of the Lusitano horse, providing a valuable opportunity to showcase our horses, exchange knowledge and continue working towards our goals.
We are particularly proud of Samba Dress TOP, who made her debut in the four-year-old ridden mares class, earning a silver medal. Her performance was a wonderful start to her competitive journey, highlighting her quality and promising potential as a ridden horse. We are excited to see what the future holds for her.
Urielle AS Sport was another highlight of the festival. This young filly continues to surprise us as she develops, becoming increasingly expressive in type, elastic in her movement and athletic in her overall presence. Watching her progress is a real source of excitement, and we look forward to following her journey as she continues to mature.
We were equally delighted to see Rainha Dress TOP return to the show ring, this time making her debut as a broodmare alongside her young foal, Xtreme AS (x Nobre Saramunheiro). She once again demonstrated her quality, making this a particularly special appearance and a lovely opportunity to showcase the next generation of our breeding programme.
Our team was also represented by Venus AS in the yearling fillies class; Verdi AS and Vin Diesel AS among the yearling colts; and Queops Dress TOP in the broodmares class. Querosene Dress TOP also competed in the class for stallions aged five and over. We are proud of every horse that represented us and grateful for the experience each one brought to this year’s festival.
At AS Sport Horses, we believe that quality is built over time, through thoughtful breeding, dedication and a commitment to each horse’s individual development. Every competition offers an opportunity to learn, assess our progress and continue improving, both in our breeding programme and in the development of our horses for the future.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported us throughout the festival and to the team whose daily work makes these experiences possible.
We return home proud of what we have achieved, inspired by what we have learned and more motivated than ever to keep moving forward.
This is just another step in the journey. Onwards and upwards!
